Skid Steer Loaders

Wheeled S55 and stand-on 380 mini, straight off our Jining line · 300–890 kg rated load

ZHONGMAI builds two skid steer loaders at our plant in Jining, Shandong. The S55 is a ride-on wheeled machine with an enclosed cab: 36.8 kW four-cylinder diesel, 890 kg rated load, 0.4 m³ bucket, 12 km/h travel. The 380 is a stand-on mini skid steer on rubber tracks — 890 kg operating weight, 300 kg rated load, compact enough to work along greenhouse rows or inside a building being stripped. Some buyers write skidsteer, others say skid loader; it is the same machine. Both of ours share a universal quick-attach plate, ship factory-direct in steel-frame crates, and leave with manuals and a spare-parts kit.

Why This Machine

Key features

  • S55 wheeled skid steer: 890 kg rated load, ≥1,780 kg tipping load, ≥25 kN bucket breakout force
  • 380 stand-on mini skid steer on rubber tracks — 890 kg operating weight, works where a full-size loader cannot
  • One universal quick-attach plate runs 20 attachment types, from earth augers to snow blowers
  • 55 L/min hydraulic flow at 21 MPa on the S55 feeds breakers, brooms and trenchers
  • Sealed factory cab on the S55 with pilot hydraulic controls and rear-view mirror
  • Naturally aspirated four-cylinder diesel — no electronics stack, easy to service in remote markets
  • Export-ready: steel-frame crating, container loading, manuals and spare parts from one factory

Two Sizes, One Quick-Attach Plate

The S55 is the workhorse: a compact skid steer loader with a 2,700 mm hinge-pin reach class and a 2,384 mm dump height, so it clears the side boards of a standard farm truck. The cab is sealed against dust and noise, controls are hydraulic pilot type, and the rear service door opens the whole cooling pack for cleaning — a two-minute job, not an afternoon.

The 380 is the small one. You stand on a rear platform, the rubber tracks keep ground pressure low on lawns and wet ground, and the 0.15 m³ bucket dumps at 1,450 mm. Crews comparing mini skid steers for sale usually land in exactly this class: under 900 kg, fits on a light trailer, one operator, no cab to ship.

Both machines carry the same universal mounting plate and auxiliary hydraulic couplers. That means one set of tools serves the whole yard — see our skid steer attachments page for the full catalog of augers, breakers, pallet forks, brooms and snow tools.

Wheeled Skid Steer or Compact Track Loader?

A compact track loader (CTL) is the same loader concept on dedicated rubber tracks. On mud, sand and steep slopes the tracks win: more flotation, less rutting. We will say it plainly — ZHONGMAI does not build a full-size CTL today, and we are not going to dress one machine up as another.

Here is the honest counterpoint: most of the work buyers describe to us happens on prepared ground — concrete, asphalt, compacted yards. There a wheeled skid loader is the better money. Tires cost a fraction of a track set, top speed is 12 km/h instead of a crawl between piles, and tire swaps need no special tooling.

If your jobs genuinely run on soft ground, two paths: the tracked 380 mini covers light-duty work at low ground pressure, and for full-size CTL requirements we will tell you straight that we are not the factory for it — yet. Send the jobsite details and we will spec what actually fits.

From a Jining Factory to Your Port

Both loaders are welded, painted and assembled in our plant in Jining, Shandong — the same industrial belt that supplies much of the world's compact construction equipment. Machines are inspected and run before crating, and the photos on this page are our own yard and assembly hall, not renders.

A search for a chinese skid steer supplier returns pages of trading companies; we are the factory behind that listing. Buying direct means the attachment plate, hydraulic flow and crating are matched in one place. Units ship in steel-frame crates or loaded loose in container, with English manuals, a filter and spare-parts kit, and support over WhatsApp after delivery.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the difference between a skid steer and a skid loader?

Nothing mechanical — skid steer loader, skid loader and the one-word skidsteer all describe the same machine, which steers by driving the left and right wheels at different speeds. Regional habit decides the name. Our S55 wheeled unit and 380 mini answer to all three.

How much does a mini skid steer cost direct from the factory?

Price moves with the attachment package, crating and incoterms, so we quote per order rather than publish a number that is wrong by the time you read it. Send your port and the tools you need with the 380, and you will have an FOB or CIF quote within one working day.

Do you make compact track loaders (CTL)?

Not at full size. Our line today is the wheeled S55 and the tracked stand-on 380 mini. The 380 gives you low ground pressure in a small package; for big-frame CTL work we will say so honestly rather than force a fit. If we add a CTL later, it will appear here first.

Which skid steer attachments fit the S55 and the 380?

Both carry a universal quick-attach plate and auxiliary hydraulic couplers, and the catalog runs to 20 tool types: earth auger, trencher, hydraulic breaker, pallet forks, 4-in-1 bucket, angle broom, snow package and more. The skid steer attachments page lists each one with its typical pairing.

Can the S55 work indoors or on finished concrete?

Yes — that is where wheels beat tracks. The S55 is 1,640 mm wide with a 2,095 mm cab height, so it passes standard workshop doors, and rubber tires are gentler on finished floors than steel-embedded tracks. Ventilation for the diesel is the only thing to plan for in enclosed halls.

What engine is in the S55 skid steer loader, and how do I get parts?

A naturally aspirated four-cylinder diesel (model HFC4DA1-2C3) rated 36.8 kW at China III emissions. No turbo, no DPF, no electronic injection stack — which is exactly what keeps it running in markets where diesel quality varies. Filters and wear parts ship from our factory store.
